Bouygues £600m Canning Town scheme phase 3 approved
Bouygues development arm Linkcity has gained planning for the latest phase of its £600m redevelopment of Canning Town in east London.Linkcity, advised by planning and development consultancy Montagu Evans, has got the go-ahead for the largest phase of the Hallsville Quarter development, which comprises 620 homes including 50 extra care homes – the first in the borough.Designed by Hawkins Brown architects, the scheme includes extensive public realm works to create a new centre for Canning Town, with around 120,000 sq ft of retail, offices and an NHS health centre included in the plans.Overall, Hallsville Quarter comprises retail, offices, leisure, hotel, community uses, student accommodation, 1,148 homes and basement car parking.
