Description of options: The Trust is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of its community. With this commitment we are required to reduce air pollution arising from our commissioned transport services.
The Contract is offered for 5 years (+ 2 x 12 months) assuming that the supplier with utilize Diesel vehicles.
However, bidders are encourages to submit Variant Bid offering hybrid or electric vehicles, and to enable such Variant Bids the Contract term will be extended to maximise the economic viability of implementing and operating a sustainable solution. For example, a supplier offering hybrid vehicles would be awarded a contract circa 8+ years plus the option to extend by 2 x 12 months or a supplier offering electric vehicles would be awarded a contract of circa 10+ years plus the option to extend by 2 x 12 months.
