Councillors urged to back 15-storey scheme
Revised plans for a 15-storey residential scheme in Liverpool are due to be granted the green light.Pumpfields Regeneration Co is behind the application, which concerns land bounded by Vauxhall Road.The original application to demolish the existing buildings and erect two linked structures of 11 and 13 storeys, comprising 312 apartments and commercial space, were approved last year. Bringing the existing site down has already commence, with completion nearing.However, the new application – which will be considered by Liverpool City Council on 28 August – is to build a 13 and 15 storey pair of towers made up of 319 units. A public realm would also be introduced.As was the case with the original proposals, approval has been recommended.
