Winvic wins contract to build new £70m Lidl HQ
Winvic Construction has won the contract to build a new £70m UK headquarters in Tolworth for supermarket giant Lidl.The 250,000 sq ft building will be just five miles from Lidl’s current HQ in Wimbledon and is expected to take two years to complete.Northamptonshire based Winvic will start on site later this month.The firm has worked with Lidl before after delivering its UK Distribution Centre in Exeter and is currently onsite building warehouses in Motherwell and Doncaster.WInvic has made its reputation as a ‘shed specialist’ but is also expanding in the retail, PRS and civils sectors as well as constructing individual large commercial offices and whole business parks.
