Infrastructure contracts in Glasgow worth £242m opened to bidders
Glasgow City Council has opened up infrastructure contracts worth £242m to potential bidders (September 7th).The contracts for construction, civil engineering and road infrastructure projects in the city include road surfacing, painting, lighting, temporary traffic management, landscaping, installation of playgrounds and heritage restoration.The council is looking for at least five companies who can cover all elements for the construction, repair and maintenance of the projects.Appointment of suppliers will take place on 1 May 2019, with contracts running for three years.These contracts form part of a wider local authority procurement framework in partnership with North Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire councils.
