Green light for mixed-use redevelopment of Leeds building

The mixed-use redevelopment of a Leeds city centre building to create new office, retail and leisure space, has been given the go-ahead.LJ Real Estate acquired 34 Boar Lane for £9.58m from Regional REIT, managed by London & Scottish Investments, earlier this year and set out its plans for the property in July.34 Boar Lane, formerly CGU House, comprises 56,000 sq ft of space and is located immediately opposite the railway station and Trinity Leeds shopping centre.Under the company’s plans, the existing frontage onto Boar Lane would be replaced with new glazing installed. The lower ground floor, ground floor office space and one of the retail units would be converted to create two new units to be occupied by a restaurant and coffee shop.The third, fourth and fifth floors would also be extended to create additional office space.Leeds City Council has now given the go-ahead for the work.
