Plans submitted for 18-storey student tower
An 18-storey student development for close to 700 students complete with ground floor commercial space could be built on the site of a multi-storey car park in Bournemouth if plans are approved.The application for the development at Richmond Gardens, Bournemouth, has been submitted by agent Pegasus on behalf of developer Summix RGB Development Ltd and Sheet Anchor Evolve (London).If approved, the development will be built with 681 bedrooms, incorporating a mix of cluster flats and studio apartments.The development will be built around three sides of the existing multi-storey car park, close to the Vitality insurance building.It will also include 2,713 sq ft of space for retail or commercial use split between two units, which the developer estimates will support ten full-time equivalent jobs.Bournemouth Borough Council will decide on the project in due course.
