Images revealed of 27-storey development

New images have been revealed of a new 27-storey development, comprising 372 apartments, proposed for a site in Sheffield city centre.The development would be built on land currently used as a car park, off the Hanover Way inner ring road and Milton Street, near Moorfoot, and are backed by Sheffield-based City Estates.The three blocks – seven storeys, ten storeys, and a split between 18 and 27 storeys – are designed to create a new landmark at one of the main entrances to the city centre while respecting the character of nearby listed buildings including Beehive Works and Eye Witness Works.A mix of one-, two- and three-bed apartments, live/work units, commercial units, a shop and landscaped courtyards would be incorporated. Residents’ facilities will include a roof garden, café, cinema, gym, function room and basement car park.An application for planning permission has been submitted to Sheffield City Council on behalf of Devonshire Green (Broomgrove Road) Ltd, part of Sheffield-based City Estates, as revealed earlier this week.City Estates was behind the West One development of flats, leisure and offices in Sheffield’s Devonshire Quarter.
