Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The opportunity is being broken down into 2 separate Lots.
Lot 1. Cash collection, reconciliation and banking from parking machines with the option to include maintenance.
Lot 2. Cash and cheque collection, reconciliation and banking from Council buildings. To include the provision to provide change to certain sites as required.
Chichester District Council has a requirement for the collection, reconciliation and banking of cheques and coins from nominated sites in the District as well as directly from 95 current pay and display ticketing machines at our 29 car parks throughout the District as well as approximately 33 on-street ticket machines within the City that will be installed throughout 2014/15. This number may vary throughout the life of the contract and the Council reserves the right to negotiate and vary the contract accordingly.
Any collection operator from car park machines will need to take into consideration the seasonal nature of Chichester District – it is a popular tourist area with several car parks seeing huge increases in visitor numbers during summer months. Flexibility will be required to ensure that the collection schedule is able to respond to fluctuations throughout the year.
We would also like the option to include parking machine maintenance and repair within the contract and therefore we have included such details. If your company cannot undertake this function you will still be considered for Lot 1 as we will not be scoring the maintenance response or associated costs as this is only an option.
We will require cash collection from Council buildings which include East Pallant House, Novium Museum, 3 x Leisure Centres and Council Hostel (Westward House) at the given intervals. These collection locations and collection periods may also change throughout the contract life. The Council will not be liable for any loss of profit due to no longer requiring collections from certain sites or altering the collection schedule.
