Transformation deal for old greyhound stadium agreed
A £11.5m deal to build 100 homes at the site of a former greyhound stadium in Birmingham has been agreed.WM Housing will construct the homes at the old Hall Green greyhound stadium as part of a wider 210-property scheme.Permission has already been granted for the stadium site by Birmingham City Council and WM Housing has agreed a deal with developer Galliford Try Partnerships to deliver half of the new homes at the site.Under the agreement, Galliford Try Partnerships will provide 110 homes which will be sold by its housebuilding business Linden Homes.The remaining homes will be built for WM Housing, all of them affordable.The homes built by WM Housing will cost £11.5m and will be a mix of two-bedroom flats and two and three-bedroom houses.Galliford Try Partnerships acquired the former greyhound stadium site in April.
