Plans lodged for 276-home development
Plans have been lodged for the development of up to 276 homes on a site in West Yorkshire.Carter Jonas, on behalf of Bramley and Arthur, has submitted an outline planning application to Wakefield Council for a development of a 16.7-acre site off Mill Lane in Normanton.The site is currently in agricultural use but is allocated for housing in the council’s Site Specific Policies Local Plan.It is bounded to the north by the M62, beyond which is a Yorkshire Water facility and Wakefield Europort.Planning consent is sought for up to 276 residential units, with a mix of flats, townhouses, semi and detached houses.The outline application seeks consent for access, proposed from Mill Lane via Castleford Road, with other matters reserved for a later stage.
