Acquisition secures future of Doncaster building
A prominent Doncaster building has been snapped up by a property developer, securing its future.The Maridon Centre is located at the junction of Market Road and Nether Hall Road on the edge of Doncaster town centre.Until recently, the three-storey building was used by the Catholic Church for ecclesiastical purposes, but has previously been occupied by a variety of businesses.It has now been acquired by Doncaster-based developer Luke Holdings Ltd, which plans to redevelop it into a mix of residential, retail and leisure units.The 8,255 sq ft premises is currently home to the popular La Fiesta tapas bar and restaurant, which has an operating lease until April 2028 and will be unaffected by the freehold sale.PPH Commercial marketed the property at a guide price of £395,000.
