Proposals revealed for 70-home scheme
Plans have been revealed to build about 70 homes on council-owned land in Lutterworth.Harborough District Council is set to publish a planning application in the coming months for the site in De Verdon Road.Last year, the council helped provide a record number of affordable homes in the district, based on data captured every year since 2003.The land had previously been leased to Lutterworth Town Council for allotments but more than half the plots are now vacant.The council has previously developed housing on its former garage sites at St Cuthbert’s Avenue in Great Glen and Paget Road in Lubenham.
