The current contract for Cleaning and sanitation services in urban or rural areas, and related services – Framework Lead is projected to end on 18-DEC-19 and may be available for retender. Stairwell Cleaning Services (Close Cleaning).
The Council has a requirement to provide Stairwell Cleaning Services across its property portfolio. The requirement is to provide a clean, tidy and pleasant environmental for tenants and residents to live in.
The Stairwell Cleaning Service or Close Cleaning as it is known locally involves the weekly cyclic cleaning of the communal areas of approximately 700 public sector flatted or maisonette properties, up to 5 floors in height. These properties are located across North Lanarkshire in all of the main towns and many are multi tenure, however the majority of residents are council tenants.
In addition to the weekly cleaning cycle, common area windows would be washed per month, and walls and any associated bin store floor surface washed down every three months. In many areas a more extensive deep clean treatment will be required whereby all front and rear entrance doors and screens including framework washed and cleaned both sides. Floor surfaces, up risers and stair surfaces to be machine scrubbed (contractor to supply own power source); all banisters to be scrubbed clean, all walls, under side of stairs (ceilings) to be washed clean including lights, pipes and ledges. All graffiti removed from all surfaces and front and rear entrance porch / canopy areas to be power washed where applicable.
