Green light for new 600-home suburb in Glasgow
Glasgow City Council has approved planning permission in principle for a Queens Cross Housing Association-driven project for a new 600 home development in the north of the city.Outline planning permission has been granted to transform the Hamiltonhill area into a 21st Century suburb close to the city centre.The development will deliver 300 social rented and 300 private new homes with parks and green space, all made possible by a sustainable drainage system linked to the Forth and Clyde Canal.There will also be a small community and commercial development as part of the overall masterplan that will transform long term vacant and derelict land into a new neighbourhood.
