Green light for latest NOMA project
Plans to redevelop a grade II-listed former warehouse and office building in Manchester’s NOMA neighbourhood have been approved.Under the proposals, Redfern will be revamped to offer more than 50,000 sq ft of grade A office space across six floors. Industrial-chic features such as exposed airducts and suspended lighting will be included in an effort to help it appeal to tech and creative companies.It will also feature a roof terrace.An additional 7,600 sq ft of mixed retail and leisure space split across three units will be provided on the ground floor, which was previously a basement until the excavation of Sadler’s Yard.In total, NOMA will provide 2.5 million sq ft of both new-build and renovated office space at various price points, situated alongside housing and public realm, as well as retail and leisure opportunities.
