United Kingdom-Motherwell: Horticultural services – Framework Lead

The current contract for Horticultural services – Framework Lead is projected to end on 14-JAN-20 and may be available for retender. Ad-Hoc Garden Works.
North Lanarkshire Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified contractor to undertake Ad-Hoc Garden Works. The contractor will be expected to work closely with our Garden Assistance Scheme contractor. The contract comprises 10 routine cyclic maintenance visits (generally at 3-weekly intervals) to housing properties with garden areas of various sizes and involves cutting grass/lawn areas, digging, weed-killing/strimming of fallow strips/borders, hedge cutting, weed-killing and generally keeping garden areas in a good state of repair, and will take place in properties rented from the Council, other landlords and owner-occupiers. Gardens that are overgrown and not of a standard that they can be maintained under the Garden Assistance Scheme will require to have ‘one off’ works carried out e.g.:
– cut grassed areas and remove and dispose of cuttings from site;
– cut/thin hedges including top and both sides and remove and dispose of cuttings from site;
– uplift waste/debris, remove from site and safely dispose of;
– pruning/removing trees/shrubs including supply of ladders, scaffolding or cherry pickers, remove and dispose of cuttings from site and make good any land where required;
– remove any sheds/structures including bases, sleepers etc. remove from site dispose of and make good any land where required.
– strim/weed kill areas as required remove and dispose of any cuttings from site;
– topsoil/turf areas as required including any follow-up cultivation; and
– remove dog fouling and dispose of in a safe and environmentally suitable fashion.
