Green light for new £45m educational campus
Plans to build a new £45m further and higher education campus in Craigavon have been approved.Southern Regional College (SRC) has been given the go-ahead for the final phase of its £95m investment programme.SRC is already advancing two campuses in Armagh and Banbridge as part of the overall investment by the Department for the Economy. The new campus in Craigavon will support hundreds of new jobs during construction and create more than 350 new local apprenticeships annually in sectors including science, manufacturing, engineering, IT, hospitality and tourism.The campus will be located adjacent to the new Craigavon Leisure Centre, which was awarded planning consent in 2017, close to the Craigavon Civic and Conference Centre and Rushmere Shopping Centre.
