Residential development for former school set for nod
A 55-unit residential development on the site of a former school in Caerphilly is poised for the green light.The development of the 4.5-acre site in Aberbargoed has been proposed by Llanmoor Developments.The site was originally designated as having capacity for up to 74 homes. If the application is approved in its current state, the site of the former Bedwellty Comprehensive School will be developed, with eight of the 55 homes designated as affordable.Planners have recommended deferring the application pending a section 106 agreement concerning affordable housing.Caerphilly County Borough Council’s planning committee will meet on Wednesday (23 January 2019) to discuss the proposal.
