Green light for move onto historic hospital site
A Denbighshire-based developer has received the green light to build a temporary construction compound and training area at a historic hospital as it prepares for large scale development.Once installed on the site, Ruthin-headquartered civil engineering company Jones Bros will have about 20 staff on the location, with a further 35 trainees.The company was selected by Denbighshire County Council to develop the former North Wales Hospital site in Denbigh in order to safeguard a number of listed buildings.It is accepted there will be local impacts from activities associated with a construction training facility. However, the responses from the ‘technical’ consultees raise no basic objections having regard to what is actually involved, subject to inclusion of suitable conditions.
