Plans for 250 homes in Leicester city centre revealed
Some 250 homes could be built on disused land in Leicester city centre.Leicester City Council says it wants to build the houses on derelict land in the city’s Waterside regeneration around on a 3.5 ha site adjacent to Repton Street.The land and properties within the site are privately-owned and largely derelict and disused. The site, which runs from Rally Park to Frog Island, is also at risk of flooding from the River Soar.The Council is asking the public for ideas on any proposed scheme, which is sayss would be a mixture of houses and apartments.A six-week consultation on the draft co-ordinating code for housing development at Repton Street has now been launched.
