United Kingdom-Durham: Construction work for buildings relating to education and research – Framework Lead
The current contract for Construction work for buildings relating to education and research – Framework Lead is projected to end on 02-MAR-20 and may be available for retender. OJEU15-013 Minor Works Contractor Framework.
Durham University are looking to put in place a multi-supplier minor works contractor framework to deliver multi-trade projects such as new build, extensions, alterations and refurbishments. It will be a four year agreement split into 2 lots. Lot 1 is for works 0 GBP-500 000 GBP and Lot 2 is for works 500 001 GBP-4 000 000 GBP. 5 suppliers maximum may be appointed per lot. NEC3 Term Service contract and NEC3 term service short contract will be the over-arching contract terms. Call-off will generally be by mini-competition on a project by project basis but the suppliers will be ranked based, in the first year, on tender evaluation and thereafter on annual review of pricing and the University reserves the right to award projects on a direct call-off basis to the first ranked supplier at the time of call-off. Suppliers will be asked to price sample projects and a schedule of rates of typical work activities (which will then be used throughout the duration of the framework as a basis for project pricing or for benchmarking purposes), and to provide overheads and profit figures against specific value bands; all of which will be collectively used to reach an overall tender price or evaluation.
