Plans in for 14-storey city centre hotel
A hotel which could rise to 14 storeys has been earmarked for a site in Birmingham city centre.Jurys Inn and Capita Real Estate & Infrastructure are working on the application which would involve the demolition of a multi-storey car park in Berkley Street.If given the green light by Birmingham City Council, a total of 261 bedrooms would be created over nine storeys sitting above a five-storey car park with space for 152 vehicles.Jurys Inn operates a 445-bedroom hotel in Broad Street and the proposed development is located to the rear.
