Huddersfield waterfront plans revealed

Plans for the regeneration of Huddersfield’s waterfront quarter have been revealed, including a mix of residential and commercial buildings of up to 15 storeys.SKA Developments’ proposals for the Greater Waterfront Quarter include housing, business space, shops, leisure facilities, community attractions and a health centre.The development is designed to connect the town centre to the waterfront quarter and would include eight to 15-storey buildings on the waterfront extremity of the site, with three to five-storey buildings on the St Thomas’ Road side.The team from SKA Developments attend the MIPIM conference this month (March 2019) to showcase the vision for the scheme and seek project partners.SKA Developments owns the majority of the land earmarked for development off St Thomas’ Road.The company’s portfolio in Huddersfield also includes Standard House, Dundas Work and Threadworks in the Urban Centre, alongside its current redevelopment of 103 New Street.
