Terex To Build New Manufacturing Facility In L’Derry

Global company Terex has announced plans to build a new manufacturing facility in L’Derry, adding to its eight other sites in Northern Ireland. The manufacturer of lifting and material processing solutions is investing £12 million in the Campsie development, which will also involve the creation of 100 new jobs. The new facility will manufacture product lines for Terex Ecotec (waste management and recycling) and Terex Conveying Systems (TCS) (mobile conveying).Invest NI is backing the development with nearly £1 million to support the new jobs, and research and development. This project will bring significant economic benefits to the area and the whole of Northern Ireland, delivering over £2m in annual salaries and increasing exports. The new jobs will include production operative roles along with, management and support roles in HR, operations and finance and a number of R&D positions. Terex employs over 1,500 people in Northern Ireland across its Dungannon, Omagh, Ballymoney and Lurgan sites.
