Plans in for developments on golf course

Plans have been submitted for the development of holiday lodges and sports facilities at an East Yorkshire golf course.WS Planning, on behalf of Park Leisure 2000, has lodged a hybrid planning application with East Riding of Yorkshire Council for development at Allerthorpe Golf & Park Retreat.Full planning permission is sought for the change of use of part of the site for 75 holiday static and lodge-style caravans as well as the relocation of the existing maintenance building and the extension to existing clubhouse to form a spa, gym and indoor sporting facilities.The applicant is also seeking outline consent for the construction of outdoor tennis courts and golf training area.It has been estimated that, once complete, the proposed development could create about 13 full-time equivalent jobs. The construction programme would inject about £3m into the East Yorkshire economy, as well as supporting further job creation.
