Short description of the contract or purchase(s):: Thames Water wishes to award Framework Agreement(s) for sampling, laboratory analysis and reporting of waste water, river water and sludge samples for the Chemical Investigations Programme (2) and low phosphorus schemes of work.
CIP2 is a UKWIR project, working towards the investigation of concentrations of a number of sanitary, metals, priority substances, specific pollutants, pharmaceuticals and emerging substances across UK water and sewerage companies. This is required to meet the obligations of the Water Framework Directive and National Environment Programme.
Samples must be taken, transported and analysed, in accordance with technical specification requirements, from over 100 specified sewage works and river sites across the Thames Water geographical region, in the South of England. The total number of samples will be approximately 11-12 000 over the course of the contract. This will be undertaken through a phased scheme of work. All results must be reported within specified deadlines.
