Sainsbury’s could be opening a new store at this site in Leicestershire
Sainsbury’s could open a new supermarket in Leicestershire.The retail giant is in talks about building an outlet on the corner of Wistow Road and Warwick Road in Kibworth, near Market Harborough.Owners of the land – Manor Oaks Homes – already have outline planning permission for a retail, residential and commercial development there.They are now seeking permission from Harborough District Council to increase the size of the retail park to accommodate the store.Proposals for 22 apartments, a veterinary surgery, gym and offices are also included in the plan for the site, which is next to the Priory Business Park.There is to be on-site parking for 80 cars and 41 bikes.A Sainsbury’s spokeswoman has confirmed the company is in talks about the proposed development.
