Titanic Quarter logistics scheme plans lodged
Plans have been submitted for a warehouse distribution facility on a near-11-acre site at the northern edge of Belfast’s Titanic Quarter.Planning consultancy Turley, acting on behalf of Titanic Quarter Ltd, has lodged an application for land at King’s Work, located off Queens Road within Channel Commercial Park to the north of Belfast City Centre.The existing buildings on the site in question would be demolished to make way for the proposed development.Included within the application is an 85,192 sq ft distribution warehouse with 7,296 sq ft of ancillary office accommodation. A van storage facility incorporating 479 spaces is also envisaged.The warehouse building is located centrally within the eastern portion of the site with the proposed van storage facility to the northwest section. Away from the warehouse building, the van storage facility comprises a standalone three-storey open deck structure of faced concrete panels with galvanised steel railing.The wider area is dominated by large industrial warehouse buildings and structures.
