Pipeline Framework: Fit out/Refurbishment of Temporary Accommodation for Energy Coast UTC
A pipeline has been launched for Fit out/Refurbishment of Temporary Accommodation for Energy Coast UTC.The contract start Date is 25 June 2019. Approach to market date is 21 May 2019.The Energy Coast UTC currently teaches practical engineering skills to students under a temporary arrangement at a nearby commercial partner’ premises. The provision of space and facilities are limited within this part of the building, therefore the contractor will be required to refurbish and remodel the unoccupied units in the north east wing of the building. The works will include removing and adding partition walls, new doors, addition of WC’s and making good affected wall and floor finishes. Mechanical, Electrical and Drainage works will be required, as will works to the building envelop. The contactor must also complete all associated external works including provision of a separate pedestrian path for the UTC students. Delivery of specialist FF&E, such as milling machines and lathes, and implementation of ICT infrastructure will need to be co-ordinated and phased in-line with construction activities. A complete design package will be provided, including Civil & Structural, M&E, Fire Strategy and ICT. However, the contractor may be required to develop elements of the design if and when problems arise during the project. The successful contractor will be required to complete all associated construction and fit out works. This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly. When a public sector organisation publishes a pipeline notice, it does not necessarily mean that an opportunity will be offered in the future. For more information contact: Mott MacDonald Limited, Ground floor, Royal Liver Building, Pier Head, Liverpool L3 1JH.
