Galliford Try wins £162m of northeast housing
Galliford Try Partnerships North has racked up seven new contract awards that will deliver 950 new homes across the northeast.With a gross development value (GDV) of £162.35m, the developments include properties for open market sale, shared ownership, affordable rent, private rent and extra care facilities for the over 55s.The developments, in Darlington, Gateshead, Middlesbrough, Peterlee (two), Redcar and Washington are expected to have more than 600 people working either on site or providing office based support and all of them involve partnerships with government, local councils and or registered housing providers.The largest of the new schemes is a £62m, 350-unit mixed tenure development next to the James Cook University Hospital in the Brackenhoe area of south Middlesbrough.
