Plans lodged for extra care facility
Plans have been lodged for a new development of housing for elderly people in Leeds.Planning and design consultancy Barton Willmore, on behalf of developer Morgan Ashley Care Developments, has submitted an application to Leeds City Council for 63 homes at West Ardsley.The proposed Westerton Walk extra care facility would combine accommodation with care services and include shared lounges and dining facilities.The council-owned site, which was previously occupied by a training centre for people with learning difficulties, is currently vacant.Morgan Ashley Care Developments is a joint venture between housing and health property partner Ashley House plc and Morgan Sindall Investments.
