New retail and leisure park tipped for cinema site
An Art Deco former cinema building in Nottinghamshire could be knocked down and replaced by a new retail and leisure park, according to new documents.ARBA Developments, which is based in Mansfield, is seeking permission to demolish the former Strand Cinema building in Burns Lane, Market Warsop, and replace it with 29,923 sq ft of employment space.The new development would include space for retail, restaurants and cafes, drinking establishments, hot food takeaways and offices as well as 42 car parking slots.Mansfield District Council is set to make a final decision on the application in the coming months.
