Closed West Yorkshire pub to be transformed into retail site
Local retail operators Aman Barhgota and his father Joga have invested in a closed former West Yorkshire pub as they look to launch their latest convenience store.The father-and-son team have bought the Junction Inn in Heckmondwicke, West Yorkshire with the help of business property advisers at Christie & Co.They will convert the pub into their second convenience store. The site had already been approved for planning permission to convert into apartments.Funding for the conversion has been secured through specialist commercial finance broker, Christie Finance.Previous owner, Lee Pattison decided to sell the freehold of the site in order to focus on growing his residential property portfolio.The freehold interest of the Junction Inn was sold off an asking price of £190,000.
