Residential care facility planned for former hotel
A former hotel in Gloucestershire could be converted into a residential care facility if plans are approved, creating 25 jobs.The plans for Dower House, formerly Park Hotel in Whitfield, have bene submitted by Plainview Planning on behalf of Maples Care.Under the plans, the ten-bedroom hotel would be converted into a 12-en suite bedroom residence for adults with mental health difficulties, with an additional training flat.The site, which operated as a hotel for 70 years, currently has permission for a conversion into office space.
