Developer acquires Bristol site with plans for mixed-use scheme
A six-acre site in Bristol has been acquired by an investment and development company for a potential mixed-use scheme.Frontdoor Properties has bought the Filwood House site from New Station Developments. The vendor was advised by Alder King.The site is located between Filwood Road and Forest Road in Fishponds and includes a complex of occupied and redundant industrial buildings and structures. The largest, Filwood House, is a 150,000 sq ft part-single, part-three storey commercial building dating from the early 1960s. It was previously part of the former DRG factory complex but is now occupied by a number of small businesses on short-term leases.The new owner has instructed Alder King’s planning team to prepare and submit a planning application for a mixed-use redevelopment.
