A pipeline has been launched for Conservation and repair of the historic building fabric to Mackie’s Corner, Sunderland.The contract start Date is 01 October 2019. Approach to market date is 25 June 2019.The project comprises the restoration and repair of the historic building fabric to the Mackie’s Corner element of Hutchinson’s Building, Sunderland, comprising re-roofing, rainwater goods, window repairs and replacement, internal structural repairs and stone repairs.We are seeking suitably experienced Main Contractors who can manage and coordinate the works on behalf of the client. If considered appropriate for the project and having the appropriate experience, the tender information will be issued to your company. There will be a four week tender period. The main contractor must be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge and experience of working with historic buildings. Their subcontractors should have similar experience of historic buildings and a proven track record of working with the Main Contractor.This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly.
