A pipeline has been launched for Extra Care Housing Care and Support Procurement OpportunityThe contract start Date is 18 June 2019. Approach to market date is 16 July 2019For more information contact: Westminster City Council would like to inform the market of their plans to tender an extra care services for older people in the next 4 to 8 weeks, with the new service expected to be in place by Spring 2020.The service details are as follows:The extra care housing scheme is for up to 53 people aged over 55. There are 51 flats, these are comprised of 8 bedsits within a dedicated dementia unit, 41 x 1-bed and 2 x 2-bed flats within the general unit. We are looking for providers who will deliver:- a resident focussed innovative approach – strong communication with all stakeholders- a good understanding of the needs of our residents- good understanding of personalisation and the impactThe service will need to meet a range of complex needs of residents, while having a good understanding of housing and tenancy issues and of older people who require 24-hour care and support because of their physical, learning or mental ill-health or disability. This tender represents a great opportunity to work with Westminster City Council to provide excellent ECH services to residents of the borough.The procurement will be carried out using capitalesourcing Portal www.capitalEsourcing.com Use of this system does not require the purchase of high specification IT equipment or connections, or high-level personal IT skills/capabilities.This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly.
