Plan for scheme with more than 1,000 homes set for nod
A mixed-use scheme which includes building homes on more than 130 acres of land near Bristol is poised to get the green light after receiving a recommendation for approval from planning officers. The scheme at Cribbs Causeway, which includes 1,100 homes, a local centre and a primary school, has been submitted on behalf of Persimmon Homes. As well as the homes, the plans for the 133 acre site also include 25,833 sq ft retail and leisure space and 21,528 sq ft of business use space.Previously considered by South Gloucestershire Council, the proposals had been delayed by a legal disagreement between landowners Persimmon and Ashfield Land. The outline application has now been brought back for consideration with the dispute now close to resolution.
