Office complex proposed for Bidfood site
An office complex designed to accommodate 40 staff could be built at the Bidfood depot in Salford, under new plans. The existing site acts as a food storage and distribution hub for the company, which serves a range of public and private commercial customers across the North West. The main warehouse is a former manufacturing building, while a cold and chill store was added in 2006.Proposed is a two-storey office block considered to be a “relatively small addition” to the existing depot, with each floor covering about 4,800 sq ft. This would require the displacement of some of the site’s 215 car parking spaces, which would in turn be relocated. The offices would accommodate about 40 employees.
