Bellway acquires land for more homes at Goods Yard site
Bellway has acquired the second phase of the housebuilder’s Goods Yard development, part of a wider scheme to transform the area about Bishop Stortford’s railway station.This next phase will provide a further 170 apartments to support the anticipated major regeneration site in the town.The £200m project will include 586 homes, an 85-bed hotel, 55-bed care home, new transport interchange and station square, retail and office space on the former railway goods yard site off Station Road.Bellway is building 323 of the new homes, featuring a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments across the two phases.Construction work on the first phase of 149 apartments has already begun, with the first homes due to go on sale in spring 2020.
