Land deal paves way for 163-home scheme
A total of 163 homes could be built after almost ten acres of land was bought by Redrow Homes.The properties have been earmarked for constructed at New Lubbesthorpe following the plot being snapped up from landowners the Drummond Trustees.The developer, which was advised by Mather Jamie, is behind the planning application for the 163 homes which is to be decided on by Blaby District Council.The wider site currently consists of 300 properties provided by Barratt Homes, David Wilson Homes and Davidsons Homes.The sale has also enabled the repayment of a loan from Homes England taken out in order to help start the development infrastructure, expenditure for which currently totals just under £40m.
