New pictures of planned flats scheme published
New pictures of how land currently occupied by a jungle-themed Indian banqueting hall and function room in Leicester would look if approval is granted to build flats have been revealed.The Jungle Club in Checketts Road was launched in 2000 in the former home of Belgrave Working Mens’ Club which itself dated back to 1897.Under the plans submitted to Leicester City Council, the building would be demolished and replaced by two blocks three- and five-storey blocks made up of 64 one-, two- and three-bedroom social housing flats.A total of 54 car parking spaces would also be provided.The plans, which have been drawn up by Design Studio Architects, were first revealed by Insider in May.
