Longsight factory demolition to make way for apartment scheme
Avison Young’s Manchester planning team has secured approval to demolish a former factory building in Longsight to make way for a seven-storey residential scheme.The Stockport Road project is being brought forward by Amstone Residential and has been designed by Leach Rhodes Walker Architects.It will comprise a mixture of seven townhouses and 89 apartments, and provide financial contributions towards the provision of affordable housing and improved facilities at Coverdale and Newbank Community Centre.The site also has access to a number of sustainable transport modes and will contain cycle parking and electric vehicle charging points.
