The majority of the units would be self-contained studio rooms with two duplexes also created.Communal facilities, including a work hub and games room, would be provided together with roof top landscaping, parking for seven cars and a bicycle store.A design and access statement submitted as part of the application said the scheme would help to “catalyse the regeneration of the south -ern end of city centre, through the intensification of quality student residential accommodation”.Planning permission was previously granted in 2006 for a six-storey development comprising ground floor commercial space and 39 flats.
