Plans submitted for 80 homes and employment land

Plans for an 80-home development in Gloucestershire have been submitted for consideration as well as 2.47 acres of employment land.The plans have been submitted by Barton Willmore on behalf of Bloor Homes and follow a previously undetermined application, which included 100 homes and 0.82 acres of employment land.Totalling 17.7 acres, the site is known as “land at Crossways” Thornbury, South Gloucestershire Council.The application’s planning statement reads: “The housing will comprise a mix of sizes, types and tenures, including 35 per cent affordable housing.”The precise mix of affordable housing will be negotiated with Council officers during the consideration of the application but will broadly comprise 73 per cent social rented housing and 27 per cent shared ownership, broadly in-line with current adopted policy requirements.”The employment area is intended to provide a flexible opportunity for the development of small industrial / warehouse units.”South Gloucestershire Council will determine the project in due course.
