Plans in for redevelopment of NHS site

Plans have been lodged for the redevelopment of an NHS site in Sheffield to provide more than 160 new residential properties.DLP Planning, on behalf of Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust, has submitted an outline planning application to Sheffield City Council for the redevelopment of a site Old Fulwood Road.The site is currently used as offices by the NHS. It comprises an eight storey tower block, two storey office blocks, service buildings, ancillary children’s nursery, and a car park. There is also an Edwardian building on site, Fulwood House, considered to be of local interest by the council.Planning permission is sought for the redevelopment of the site for residential use. The proposed development would provide a minimum of 161 units in total, comprising of at least 132 apartments and 29 houses.Fulwood House would be retained and restored for residential use.The planning application was submitted in December 2018 and was validated by the council on 19 July.
