Plans Announced To Upgrade Dromore Streetscape
Plans to upgrade the streetscape in Dromore town centre have taken a major step forward with £1.4 million investment. Funding was confirmed for the scheme, which will see the outer Market Square and Bridge Street areas improved. The public realm will be enhanced with new pavement treatments, lighting, the creation of shared space, street furniture, signage and decorative features. These works will use natural materials including bespoke details which will reflect the town’s history and conservation status.The Department of Communities is supporting the scheme with £500,000 funding, along with a £50,000 investment from the Department for Infrastructure. Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council will manage the scheme, in addition to a £480,000 funding allocation.
