Homes and employment plots recommended for approval
A proposed development of homes and plots for employment units look set to get the go-ahead at a council meeting next week (29 August 2019).Prime Talent Ltd submitted an application to Harrogate Borough Council in October 2018 for a mixed-use development on a site in Ripon.Outline planning permission is sought for the construction of 37 new homes and serviced employment plots suitable for general industrial use with a capacity of six units. The application also includes provision for affordable housing and public pen space. The scheme has been modified form the originally submitted plans, with the number of houses reduced from 43 to address concerns over the loss of the site for employment use.The application will be considered by the council’s Planning Committee on 29 August and is recommended for approval in an officer’s report prepared for the meeting, subject to conditions and the signing of a legal agreement.
