Plans in for Catalyst Bicester

Plans to create a new business community in Bicester, which could generate up to 1,750 jobs, have been submitted. David Lloyd has signed up to operate the leisure element of the scheme, comprising a new health and racquets club.Albion Land has submitted an application to Cherwell District Council for its Catalyst Bicester project.The development will provide workspace for the technology, advanced manufacturing and high-performance engineering sectors.Under the plans, land to the south of the A41, adjacent to Bicester Avenue retail centre, will be developed to provide 290,000 sq ft of hybrid technology buildings, a new health and racquets club and 25 acres of landscaped grounds with a ecological wetland reserve.If approved, Wendlebury Poultry Farm will be closed and removed.Cornish Architects is the masterplanner for the project and architecture firm Quod is the planning consultancy. David Tucker Associates has acted as transport consultant, Tyler Grange is the biodiversity and arboriculture consultancy, re-form is the landscape consultancy, KAM is the project management company and Bailey Johnson Hayes is providing engineering consultancy.
